Patrick Chu

A graduate of the world’s two leading academies, TONI&GUY ACADEMY and Vidal Sassoon, Patrick has worked extensively in Dior, Chanel, LV, and D&G’s fashion shows as the chief hair stylist. He is also the founder of two very well known and popular salons, Private I and Beijing Hair Culture. Being the appointed and preferred hairdresser for local and international celebrities alike, such as Andy Lau Tak-Wah, Leslie Cheung Kwok-Wing and famous writer and commentator Eunice Lam Yin-Nei, Patrick is undoubtedly a leading figure and powerhouse in the hairdressing industry.

Patrick later launched TONI&GUY Hong Kong in 2001, and has now taken up the position of National Art Director and Group Director. His veteran skills in the art and the uncanny ability to create new hairstyles have gained him a considerable amount of recognition and supremacy in the market. He is often invited or appointed as the top hair stylist for numerous high profile events, such as MasterCard Luxury Week 2007-2008, Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Hong Kong Fashion Week 2006, 45th World's Beauty Pageant Finals, TVB's Miss Hong Kong Beauty Pageant, special guest for Tokyo's Japanese Hairstyle Contest, hair styling instructor for Hong Kong Retaining Board in 2004, and hair style specialist for NIOXIN USA.

Being a leader and pioneer of hairdressing industry in Hong Kong, Patrick is dedicated to teaching and sharing his knowledge with new students and experienced hairdressers alike, with the vision of pushing the local hairdressing boundries and standards to a new level. He is now also the image consultant of the programme "TRAIN THE TRAINER" to the students of TONI&GUY ACADEMY, providing another enriched curriculum for existing hairdressing teachers to further their continuing education.

Patrick is also very compassionate to teenagers of the Hong Kong communities. Without any hesitation, Patrick has accepted the invitation of Hongkong Federation of Youth Groups, to teach hairdressing to the delinquent teenagers. Thereby giving them a second chance at repatriating into the community, redeeming their confidence, and new life.
